Nadja Dee Tanaka Witherbee

Assistant Director, Archivist



Nadja Dee Witherbee is originally from sunny Southern California where she graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in the Telecommunications & Film Department. Nadja Dee Witherbee She spent the next 12 years working in the world of film and video production, first working live camera for NBC affiliate, KNSD News (San Diego) before moving to Burbank, California and gaining a reputation as a gifted cinematographer. Her hard work in the camera department resulted in an invitation to join the Local 600 Camera Union. She worked on various television shows (Sweet Valley High, Silk Stalkings, Renegade, Perversions of Science) and feature films (Indictment: The McMartin Trial, Wishmaster, Falling Sky).

Nadja Dee felt like her life was only half fulfilled by her film career, so she made a fateful decision to leave the film industry and move to the cooler Northwestern climate of Seattle. In her new life, she began to focus on music, art, interior design as well as volunteer work with the LGBT community. Her work as Assistant Director and Archivist for Inlaws & Outlaws marks her return to film production. She resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband David, and their two little furry daughters (Yorkie-Poodle mixes) Noƫ and Nico.
