Inlaws & Outlaws was made possible with the support and commitment of the following organizations:
Seattle LGBT Community Center
From the beginning, the True Stories Project was conceived as a community-centered enterprise. Under the auspices of The Seattle LGBT Community Center, countless volunteers have given their time, energy and in-kind services to all aspects of this film production.
In addition, fiscal sponsorship for Inlaws & Outlaws is provided by The Center. Executive Director Shannon Thomas, MNPL, has fostered development of this film from the start.
The mission of the Seattle LGBT Community Center is to create a meeting place for the LGBT Community to grow together, increase public understanding, and celebrate our diversity. After years of planning and fundraising, the Center opened in June 2002 and has been serving the community from it's location at 1115 East Pike Street in Seattle.
Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs
Development of Inlaws & Outlaws was funded by The Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs through their ArtsUP initiative. ArtsUP projects pair artists with communities to create community-centered work. Drew Emery's first film, The Bridge, was also funded through the ArtsUP initiative.
The Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs promotes the value of arts and culture in and of communities throughout Seattle. By fostering and highlighting the creative contributions of our artist citizens to every facet of the community, they foster the creativity in every resident and build a healthy and vibrant Seattle, envisioning a city justly renowned for its cultural dynamism, innovation, opportunity and inclusiveness, where artists thrive and are valued.
