Why We're Hosting this Event: Through love and understanding, we change the hearts and minds of others. When we understand marriage equality as just the right of people to be themselves, to love as others love and to have the same protection, we go a long way in promoting the dignity of all of humanity. Ohio is coming close to making decisions about marriage equality. We want everyone here to understand the issue as important to LGBTQ folks, but also important to them as ethical, loving humans. We want want to provide a space to discuss what marriage equality means for everyone.

About Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship:

We believe that diversity of religious expression enriches us all. Here you will find a variety of traditions and expressions, including: liberal Christians, Jews, humanists, atheists, agnostics, pagans, Buddhists and others discussing our beliefs and learning from each other.

We do not have one set of beliefs that everyone must share in order to join. We are not guided by a creed or dogma, but by a quest for truth and meaning. We are a caring, open minded religion that encourages you to seek your own spiritual path, wherever it may lead.
We are a welcoming congregation; we promote equal opportunities for all people and advocate the rights and acceptance of each individual.

We nurture community by offering programs, activities and worship services that enhance the values we hold in common, and honor the differences among us. We accept, encourage and challenge one another on our spiritual and personal journeys.

As a Welcoming Congregation, we actively welcome gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people as full participants in the life of the church. We are committed to standing on the side of love in our congregational life and our advocacy in the larger community.
