Inlaws & Outlaws Screenings

No on 8 Vigil at 1st Unitarian Universalist
San Francisco, CA

On the eve of this historic election, we're proud to offer a free screening of Inlaws & Outlaws to the San Francisco Unitarian Universalists as they present an all-day Wedding Vigil for marriage equality.

SanFranUU.gifThe vigil is Monday, November 3, 2008 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1187 Franklin Street (at Geary), San Francisco. The vigil begins with a musical celebration on the front steps at 7 pm, followed by services in the sanctuary, a candle-light procession, and then the film at 8:30 pm.

The screening is free. All are welcome!

The True Stories Project has donated this screening in support of No on 8, and producer Larry Schlessinger will be on hand to present the film. Schlessinger and members of the UU Young Adult Group will also host a reception following the film.

When: Wed, Nov 3rd 8:30 pm
Where: First Unitarian Universalist Church
1187 Franklin Street, San Francisco

"I couldn't be more honored than to have our film be part of celebrating love while recognizing this crucial moment in the fight for equality," said Emery. "We made this film to give witness to the stories untold, to demonstrate that ultimately, whether gay or straight, our search for love, family and belonging bonds us human beings."

From Monday at 8pm thru Tuesday at 8pm, any same-sex couple with a marriage license may walk-in and be married here by a Unitarian minister at no charge. Contact Peter Olandt at 415-776-4580 × 302 for more information or to schedule a specific time.
