College of William & Mary | Williamsburg, VA
The College of William & Mary's Department of Theatre, Speech & Dance will present a free screening of Inlaws & Outlaws on Monday, November 1st at 7 pm. The screening will be presented in 101 Andrews Hall on the William and Mary campus, Williamsburg, Virginia (see campus map), the last stop on the film's Virginia Outlaws Tour. The event is co-sponsored by the Women's Studies Program / Margaret Gove Foundation.
Filmmaker Drew Emery will attend the screening to introduce the film and, afterwards, lead a Q&A and discussion.
A member of the Class of '86, Drew degreed in Theatre, Speech & Dance before moving on to graduate work at the University of Virginia. For the past twenty years, he has created a body of community-centered work in Seattle, culminating in the creation of Inlaws & Outlaws, his first documentary film. The film has now been shown in over 400 community screenings across the nation.
Just added: Drew will be at the Swem Media Center at 2 pm, Monday Nov 1st to meet with students and chat about his documentary. The Media Center is on the lower level of Swem Library.

About the Department of Theatre, Speech & Dance:
The Department of Theatre, Speech & Dance offers classes, laboratories, and productions that teach students how to engage with various aspects of the theatrical arts within a liberal arts setting. Our students develop their knowledge and skills inside the classroom and through main stage and studio productions under the supervision of professional faculty. No audition is required to major or minor in the department. Auditions for performers and applications for technical crew positions are open to all students at the College. Faculty are active in interdisciplinary work across campus.
